A take out only location off of busy Woodward north of 13. There is a curb cut to the pull into parking lot. Inside is a bright, clean waiting area, then the counter with the pizza baking area behind it. Staff was nice, pizza was done right on time. The ordering system sends texts with the pizza making status. Easy and fast.
After a 6 hour drive from Chicago to the Detroit area I was famished. Fortunately, my brother had picked up Buddy's Pizza. We had cheese pizza along with the antipasto salad. The pizza is detroit style square pizza. While I'm more of a thin crust gal over deep dish when it comes to Chicago pizza, I have to admit this style of pizza is pretty delicious. I ate 1 piece pretty fast and then finished off my daughter's piece since she didn't seem to be as much of a fan (or perhaps just snacked too much during the long car ride). The salad was pretty tasty too. My brother claims this is one of their favorite pizza places to order from and I can see why!
I enjoyed the pizza. Some solid Detroit style pizza. It's heavy, but not heavy enough that you can't eat at least half a pie. I will definitely be back next time I'm visiting Michigan.

So I don't know where to start, but Buddies Pizza is fantastic. I feel like I am a weirdo because I love their salads, and their vinaigrette dressing is the bomb. I have got pizza from another place and picked up a salad from here. Pizza is pretty fantastic, but I don't want you to think I have cheated on buddies with another pizza with their salads. Anywho buddies are the best Suppose you have not had it. Wow, you are missing out!
